What is 'Cook Cheep D'?

So the name of my blog is a Canto- English play on words!

Cheep as in 'cheep cheep' because I'm a rooster (now I know what you're thinking, this drawing isn't a rooster! Well, 雞 - 'gai' in Cantonese or 'ji' in Mandarin refers to chickens/ roosters/ chicks so...) and because it's a homophone of cheap! And then D as in 啲 (pronounced 'di' or D) which in Cantonese can mean a little/ a bit so the name of this blog really means 'Cook Cheaper'! 

Now that's something we can ALL get behind!

I'm all about easy home cooking so no special equipment is needed (you know what my blog name means now, I can't afford that!) and where I can, I will do the maths for cost per serving!
